Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You
To see you high and lifted up
Shining in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy
Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His face,
There to sing forever of His saving grace;
On the streets of Glory let me lift my voice;
Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.
Show me Your face (Show me)
Need to see You clearly
No more mistakes
Look at the time I’m losing
More than Your mercy
Lord will You take me
Closer (Show me)
Let me see Your face

Ion fully remember where I wanted to go but we’re here now.
Moses made all of these excuses and had all of these things that would disqualify him. He gets over it all and is leading the children of Israel around the wilderness.
They have gotten on his nerves. A time or two. I don’t remember the chronology, but he let’s that good ol anger that led him to kill the Egyptian rise up. He broke the first set of Commandments. And he didn’t follow God’s instructions to obtain water for the people.
After the one I mentioned second, God told him he wouldn’t see the Promised Land. What a blow.
He didn’t record himself as begging for God to change His mind (he wrote the Torah/Law/first five books of the Bible). He simply asked to see God.
God was like. Nah. Nobody can see me and live.
I know I wrote about this recently. Pastor mentioned it in Bible class the other day too. But, there is nothing wrong with repeating the Bible. Especially since I’m sure this context is different.
The plan they, really God, came up with was that Moses would go on the mountain and stand in a cliff. God said He would show him His hindparts.
Man. The imagery of this next part, how it is described. Moses says God covers his face with His hand as He passed by and then showed him His hindparts.
While ppl say Moses ended up with grey hair, Scripture that I read (King James Version) says his countenance/appearance changed. The people could see that he had spent time with God.
Oh. I just remembered where I was going. Hold on. I’m gonna finish this first.
There should be proof and evidence that we have spent time with God. The way we speak, our love, our kindness, our actions. Who we are as Christians should match the attributes of the One described in the Bible.
I want to see His face and His heart. Stuff is nice and matters. But I need Him and His will. Once I obtain and continue seeking that, His hand will follow. Jesus said it: seek the kingdom first and His righteousness and all these things will be added.
I also wanna see the greater works Jesus promised. I feel like I mentioned this too. It still bears repeating. If I see Him and become like Him, I can obtain the promise to do works greater than He did.
I wanna lay hands on the sick and see them recover. I wanna cast out demons. I wanna walk past people and them be healed.
Not as a witch or divine healer. Not to boast or brag.
But, because they are promises that come with the power He gave. All for His glory. I just wanna see Jesus in the earth. I just wanna play a small part as a Christian who is a disciple of Christ who was told to spread His message and be a fisher of men.
This world and its inhabitants need Jesus. This writer does for sure. I just want to see Him.
Go be great. Someone is counting on it.
